Our Worship

Worship at Zion is more than just singing. We worship God through our praises, our confessions, our offerings, the ministry of the Word, and the sacraments of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism.

Singing is a very important element our worship. At Zion, we utilize several resources as aids for worshiping our Lord and Savior. We sing hymns, psalms, and Scripture songs. We are blessed to have Mitch Nutt, our pianist, who has written several hymns and new tunes for our worship.

Confessing what we believe is something we do every Sunday here at Zion. We use the 1646 Westminster Confession of Faith, the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, and other Scripture-based confessions during our worship to help unify us in the truth.

ministry of the word

You will notice that our worship is heavily Word-focused. The preaching and teaching of God’s Word is a very important part of our worship, since it is where we find training and instruction in how to live like Christians!

We observe the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper each Sunday, and we take seriously the use of this means of grace to bolster and uphold us in Christ Jesus.
