Sing A New Song
Sing A New Song
“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” – Colossians 3:16.
According to this passage (and many others), singing is a very important means of grace and element of worship. By joining together to sing Biblical hymns, we have the opportunity to: 1. Give thanks to God as a unified body of believers; 2. Encourage and correct one another according to sound doctrine; and 3. Seal eternal truths to our hearts and minds. I pray that “Sing a New Song” will be used to that effect, and can contribute to the church’s ever-growing corpus of strong Biblical hymns.
In this volume, you will find hymns spanning hundreds of years, including works by Horatius Bonar, Isaac Watts, Frederick Daries, and others. These texts are set to memorable and accessible new tunes, and are available in several formats, including four-part harmonies and guitar chord sheets.
May this collection be a blessing to families and congregations worldwide, bringing Christ the glory due His name. Soli Deo gloria!
